Jolly Fine Team

Here you can find out a little more about the ruddy good Darkling team and what they're up to now...

Let's kick off with this rather talented trio:
Nick Finegan, Tom Wragg-Smith & Zahra Barri
Nick Finegan has just finished his first year in English and Drama at Bristol University and has already made a right old splash on the theatre scene! You can spot him in Edinburgh playing the White Rabbit in Waiting for Alice: Ravens and Writing Desks.

Actor and stand-up comic, Tom Wragg-Smith is a very talented chap and looks wonderful in a dress to boot! After his virtuoso performance as Mrs C. Tom is playing the Mad Hatter in Waiting for Alice alongside Nick, so scurry along to that and you'll get two marvellous Darklingers for the price of one!

Zahra Barri has just landed a wonderful spot as a regular Co-Presenter on Ujima FM radio, and she is on her way to the Edinburgh Fringe festival this August with her new comedy show Screw Loose Women – what a brick! I'd catch her preview show in Bristol though and gloat that you saw her here first! Oooh and she twits too.

One of those multi-talented dears, Sam Olof  is currently studying a terribly scientific PhD or some such, as well as taking the wonderful sketch troupe Bristol Revunions to Edinburgh. Many strings to his bow, and a great face for a moustache.

Having studied drama at the University of the West of England, the lovely

Sara Gledhill has kept up her acting career in a wide variety of Drama performances such as Bad Girls The Musical and a short film called Involuntary Witness which premiered at the Watershed and was chosen by Shane Meadows’ team for #dropyourshorts comp! How exciting. Golly, what adventure!
Rebecca Gordge & Georgina Trevor

Previously starring in The Vagina Monologues at the Bristol Old Vic, Rebecca Gordge has also been a Drama Co-Ordinator for primary school children. An all-round good sport, she has also mastered her mouse impression during the rehearsal process.

Georgina Trevor co-created Re:act Theatre Company out of a desire to see a specialist theatre company in the local area, bringing joy and entertainment to children with disabilities and special needs in and around the South West. What a good egg, and a top-notch actress.

Tom Rawlinson is an English student at the University of Bristol and he is really getting into this acting game! A very versatile performer – he is equally dashing whether he’s playing a Captain in the army or the local harlot.

Currently studying Drama at Bristol University,
Andrea Salerno recently starred in the improvised comedy An Actor Prepares, which was a wonderful success. Our resident Italian Stallion, Andrea is able to induce the audience to giggles just by being on stage. What a treat!

Crew

Crew can be glamorous too...Emma Henry
& Bea Roberts get their do's done

When not being a jolly fine director of such masterstrokes as The Darkling Plain and The Entertainer you can find the delectable Ms. Emma Henry working in events, championing the rather marvellous Bristol Shakespeare Festival or munching on butternut squash. Oh Goooooood.
Writer / Producer / Gin Drinker Bea Roberts is such a professional show off that she has her own blog where you can hear all her own ramblings.

Miriam Battye and Natasha Dummelow step to it.

Studying English and Drama at Bristol University, Assistant Director Miriam Battye is also a ruddy talented writer, director and technician. Have a gander at some of her previous work on Ideas tap

Also studying English and Drama at Bristol University, Natasha Dummelow is having great fun with this Assistant Producing lark. She is working for a Press and Marketing department in Edinburgh over summer and she is very excited for what her second year of university will bring.

The Sensory Delightfuls

If you enjoyed feasting your eyeballs on our gorgeous set and costumes then you have the wonderful Lauren Macaulay and her assistant designer Ashleigh Macpherson to thank for that. Do give them a click, you won't be disappointed. Delighting your earballs too was the ruddy marvellous Laura Coates and we couldn't have functioned for a second without the wonderful tech wunderkid and all round good egg Lucy Rae.

Chin Chin Team!
